Redprint expands into Pepperdine fitness center

The first California gym to get Redprint is Pepperdine University Fitness Center. Pepperdine students can now interact with equipment to learn how to use equipment, easily track their activity, connect with their local community, and more.

10:00 am - 12:00 pm: Installation

On Wednesday, August 21st, 2024, Pepperdine Fitness Center got an upgrade, interactive gym equipment. Let's recap the installation.

Starting at 10:00 am, the Redprint team entered the facility and installed Redprint tags on all equipment in the gym. These tags were placed on free-weight equipment, selectorized equipment, cardio, plate-loaded, and more.

The tags were custom-made for Pepperdine to match their school colors. Here's a look at what the tags look like on equipment.

12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Staff training

After installing tags, the Redprint team met the staff and trained the team on how to use Redprint and its trainer tools.

Pepperdine trainers can use the app to create programs on the Redprint for others to download.

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Exploring campus

The Redprint team spent some time exploring campus and talking to students.

Pepperdine's campus is located on the scenic coast of Malibu, CA. After several staircases to get to the main section of campus, the views certainly make it all worth it. The entire campus is built into hills, making the incredible views visible from wherever you are.

Part of the campus is under major construction as Pepperdine University plans to unveil a major project schedule to be completed in Fall 2026, called The Mountain. This multi-component complex will provide the community with parking, community gathering, and state-of-the-art athletic facilities.

4:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Launch event

The last step was to tell students about it! The Redprint team set up shop in the fitness center to fill students in on the new app and its capabilities.

Dozens of students also participated in a fitness challenge to see who could do the most pull-ups. The top 3 males and females in the challenge won a t-shirt.

That wraps it up! The first stop on Redprint's fall 2024 installation tour gets off to a great start at Pepperdine. Next stop, University of Kansas!
